Companies that hire temporary staff will have to deal with new rules in the coming years. But what does the Wtta mean for employers who work with a temporary employment agency? What should you, as a hirer, pay attention to? The Wtta stands for the Act on the Admission of Temporary Employment Agencies.<\/p>

This law introduces an admission system for companies that make workers available to other organisations. This includes temporary employment agencies and other companies that provide staff to other organisations.<\/p>

The aim is to provide greater clarity and control over companies that make workers available.<\/p>

The Wtta will come into effect on 1 January 2027. From 1 January 2028, the Dutch Labour Inspectorate will enforce the admission requirement.<\/p>

What does the Wtta mean for employers?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The new law does not only affect temporary employment agencies. Employers who hire staff will also be affected.<\/p>

From 1 January 2028, hirers will only be allowed to work with providers that have been admitted to the temporary employment market.<\/p>

This means that it is not enough to look only at staff availability or the hourly rate. The organisation behind the staff will also become important.<\/p>

For example, if you regularly work with a temporary employment agency for your warehouse, distribution centre or other logistics activities, it is advisable to check in good time how the agency is preparing for the Wtta.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What should you check as a hirer?<\/h3>

Do you work with one or more temporary employment agencies? Then it is a good idea to check now whether everything is in order. With a few simple steps, you can quickly gain insight into your current temporary employment partners and see where further action is needed.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Create a simple overview of all the organisations from which you hire staff. This will give you a clear picture of which organisations you need to take into account.<\/p>\n

Check the registration<\/h4>\n

Check whether the labour provider is correctly registered.<\/p>\n\n \n

The current Waadi registration will also remain important. As a hirer, you should:<\/p>\n \n\n

check whether a labour provider is correctly registered in the Trade Register.\nFrom 2028, this will be supplemented by checking whether the provider has been admitted under the Wtta.\nDo you have any doubts about a temporary employment agency? Ask your temporary employment agency about the Wtta.<\/h4>\n\n

You do not need to know all the rules that apply to a temporary employment agency yourself.<\/p>\n\n
